Scouting is an adventure open to all young people—girls and boys, from every faith and background. We believe that Skills for Life are for everyone, and we want every child who is interested to have the opportunity to take part.
If your child is ready to jump into fun, challenge themselves, and build resilience, we can't wait to hear from you. Our Group covers three core sections:
Beavers: 6 – 8 years
Cubs: 8 – 10½ years
Scouts: 10 – 14 years

We aim to offer every child a place as quickly as possible. However, demand for Scouting is incredibly high, and we may not be able to offer a place straight away.
Currently, over 50,000 young people are waiting to join Scouting across the UK. The most effective way to help us shorten this wait and open up new spaces at 11th Barry is to volunteer your time.
Adult volunteers (aged 18+) are the backbone of our Group, and we always need support! We also rely on amazing Young Leaders (aged 14–18) to inspire our younger sections and take on key responsibilities.
Want to directly solve the waiting list problem and make a tangible difference in your community? Whether you can commit an hour a week to help run a session, assist with admin, or lend a hand at camps, we have a role for you.
No previous Scouting experience is required to become a volunteer with us—just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
